Dear Foamers,
I can able to write data by using this utility "StreamFunction". When i upload this data as point Fields in paraFoam, it doesnt display.

The following message shows up.

/usr/local/OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM-1.6.x/bin/paraFoam: line 109: 4687 Segmentation fault paraview --data="$caseFile"

Any hint will be useful.

Dear Foamers,
Actually internal mesh has to be checked out, only boundaries should be included when we open data in paraview. Then we can see the streamfunction predicted by OpenFoam.

May be its useful to somebody.

Hi Maruthamuthu,

I have the same problem with OF-1.5; I am able to run streamFunction utility, but I can not load (view) results with ParaView, even if I "check out" the internal mesh! Do you (or anyone else) have any hints on this?

Hi,
You should include StreamFunction data aswell, Its there in point fields. Except internal mesh checkin all the rest . Atleast in OF1.6 it works .

Just try it out and reply me if it works..

unfortunately I can not see the "streamFunction" data in the "Point Field Status" (in ParaView)!

i m using openfoam 201
i have problem to plot streamFunction i solved problem for laminar nonisothermal cavity flow with buoyantBoussinesqSimpleFoam.

when i run streamfunction then it gave me error but when i run another solver like icoFoam,SimpleFoam then streamfunction works but in buoyantBoussinesqSimpleFoam it cant work so what can i do?

plz tel me how can i plot streamFunction?
