Hi,

Is it possible to set the convergence criteria as 10^-6 (as in Fluent) instead of specifying endTime for solving steady state problems using "rhopSonicFoam".

If you take a look through applications/solvers, you'll see that some solvers do handle a convergence criterion. They typically have these files:
  • convergenceCheck.H
  • initConvergenceCheck.H
But AFAIK rhopSonicFoam is a transient solver and not steady-state, so I don't know what you'd use for a convergence criterion there.

Hi olesen,

I know that "rhopSonicFoam" solver is for transient inviscid compressible flow problems. But i want to solve steady state inviscid compressible flow, so is it possible to set convergence criteria.

Only two solvers are available for inviscid compressible flow problems, "rhopSonicFoam" & "rhoSonicFoam".

Regards
