Dear FOAMers,
According OpenCFD's presentation "Open-source CFD for Commercial Use" in DTU, it show one case of coal combustion and limestone CaCO3 decarbonation (quenching). Now in v1.6 coal model is available, but how to deal the second kind particles of limestone is difficult to me. I want to simulate the phenomenon in power furnace with coal as fuel and limestone as desulfer agent. Hope your help! Thanks very much. Leo Last edited by leosding; October 15, 2009 at 11:55. |

Hi,
do you know what are the properties of limestone used in coalChemistryFoam. In the coalCloud1Properties there is "ash" and "C". I know C is used in the devolatilisation reactions. But what about "ash", does it have something to do with limestone? Thanks |
