Hi everyone,

I've compiled successfully on my PC ( IntelCore2, OpenSuse 11.1 x86-64 ) calcMassFlow function. But after restart my PC give me this function the following error message ( in the moment when it starts compute fluxes on faceZones )

Time = 100
Reading/calculating face flux field phi

Flux at inlet = [1 0 -1 0 0 0 0] -0.033852
Flux at outlet = [1 0 -1 0 0 0 0] 0.0338555
#0 Foam::error:rintStack(Foam::Ostream&) in "/home/vbetak/OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM-1.6/lib/linux64GccDPOpt/libOpenFOAM.so"
#1 Foam::sigSegv::sigSegvHandler(int) in "/home/vbetak/OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM-1.6/lib/linux64GccDPOpt/libOpenFOAM.so"
#2 ?? in "/lib64/libc.so.6"
#3 Foam::FaceSetUtilities::checkFaceSetSides(Foam::fv Mesh const&, Foam::faceSet&) in "/home/vbetak/OpenFOAM/vbetak-1.6/lib/linux64GccDPOpt/libcellFaceSetUtilities.so"
#4 main in "/home/vbetak/OpenFOAM/vbetak-1.6/applications/bin/linux64GccDPOpt/calcMassFlow"
#5 __libc_start_main in "/lib64/libc.so.6"
#6 _start at /usr/src/packages/BUILD/glibc-2.9/csu/../sysdeps/x86_64/elf/start.S:116
Unauthorized access to memory (SIGSEGV)

Please can you give me an advice how can I repair this error.

Thank you a lot.

There are several versions of that utility floating around. Where did you get yours? I think I remember that there was a problem with the changed length of the neighbour()-field (it used to be all faces but is now only the internalFaces). The fix is rather easy, but I don't know if it is already in one of the publicly available versions

Hi Bernard,

I've downloaded this version from http://openfoamwiki.net/index.php/Contrib_calcMassFlow

I'm afraid that is the most recent publicly available version. I will look around and upload an updated version later this week
