Hello,
I would like to make some DEM simulations in constraint geometries, which later should be coupled to a OF fluid solver. Therefore i have some questions on the capabilities of the OpenFOAM MD solver. 1. I read that the OF solver is used for microfluiddynamics where the particle size (molecule) is much smaller than the given mesh. My question is there is a problem if the particles are much larger than the fluid mesh (in my case the particles should be suspended in the fluid flow) 2. How is the interaction with the boundary modeled and what would happen if the particles are much larger than the given mesh spacing. thanks a lot hansjoerg |
