i try to simulate the example elbow "fluent tutorials" with Openfoam (simplefoam or turbfoam?). I import the mesh with fluentMeshToFoam but there is no blockMeshDict file in the polyMesh directory, why? How could i set the Boundary condition, solver and run the Simulation?
If you have any solutions please don't esitate. Thank you Duvelle |

Dear Ronaldo,
blockMesh creates points, faces, cells, boundaries files in constant/polyMesh which collectively define the mesh and are read by the other applications. The converters simply do the same, ie. create those files - no blockMeshDict needed. Boundary conditions are set set in the files in the 0 directory and not in constant/polyMesh directory. Please consult the manual for more detailed information on this issue. Henrik |
