Hello,

i am looking for a solution in the dieselEngineFoam solver. By default the height of the cells get compressed with the piston-movement. But I prefer to substract a "cell-line" instead of compressing if a minimum height of a cell is reached. Now I am looking for the algorithm in the sourcecode but can't find it

Thanks
Ing

hi,

this sounds like dynamic layering. See icoDyMFoam tutorial for more information.
you should have a look in $FOAM_SRC/engine/engineTopoChangerMesh. Here you can find the source of topological changes for engine-cases.
