Hello, my dear friend, I am pretty new to linux and OpenFOAM, once I unpacked all stuffs, and added to the bottom of ~/.bashrc ". $HOME/OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM-1.5/etc/bashrc", I sourced the ~/.bashrc, then it returns something concerning the gcc like below,
Cannot find /home/limiao/OpenFOAM/ThirdParty/gcc-4.3.1/platforms/linux installation. Please install this compiler version or if you wish to use the system compiler, change the WM_COMPILER_INST setting to 'System' in this file would it be possible that you guys let me know what this means and what I need to do? Thanks a lot! |

Hi,
you have to download the ThirdParty-packages from sourceforge.net both the generals and the second part depending on your machine (32 or 64 bit). they include all files you need for installation of OF. Christof |
