We did but now just use 'ssh ' (in form of wmakeScheduler - http://openfoamwiki.net/index.php/Wmake). Saves setting up distccd. Compared to compilation time the time to NFS transfer files is not too big. Also the compilation nodes might cache the include files whereas distcc has to send the whole preprocessed file over.
What are your findings? |

So I can run wmake for my own solver and ./Allwmake for new OpenFOAM version, using wmakeScheduler so that it distributes over network? Is it sufficient to install OF on all participating PCs and set those 3 variables? What else?
