Hi,

does anyone know, how to 'pipe' certain Info lines from the application directly to the clipboard at startup? It would be nice, to paste some information directly into an emacs simulation database.

Fabian,

IMO you really don't want to start messing about with X11 buffer at all (ever).
Have you tried anything with the built-in job information? Starting from foamPrintJobs, you should be able to get what you want.

Hi Mark,

oh, I did not think it would mess to much up and hoped that something like /dev/null for the clipboard exists...

I would like to extract information like the used turbulence models, time step size, schemes,... to a database.
A simple script solution should do the job as well, but an integrated openfoam approach would have been much faster. Thanks!

From some of these you might be able to write a corresponding function object, but I don't know of general solution.
