Hello everyone,

I try to use fieldAverage and residuals functions in controlDict. While it calculates them during the run, it doesnt save them in postProcessing.
Please note that when I use forceCoeffs and yPlus functions, it calulates and saves them normally in the postProcessing folder.

When I use the command postProcess -list, it doesnt contain fieldAverage and residuals. This is what I get:

I tried to compile the fieldAverage, but I did not manage to complete it.

I use OpenFOAM 2406.

Any ideas?

Hello Christoforos,

For the residuals you need to use the solverInfo function object.
The list of functions you get with postProcess -list are not all function objects, but some pre-configured functions defined in $FOAM_ETC/caseDicts/postProcessing

You can define a fieldAverage function directly in your controlDict, have a look at the documentation: https://doc.openfoam.com/2306/tools/.../fieldAverage/
