hey guys
i modeled a wall jet in openfoam by creating mesh in blockMesh and using kEpsilon turbulence model for the simulation. nozzle diameter that located at the bootom of domain is 5.5mm and the inlet velocity is 1 m/s that discharges water with nu=0.000001 in the domain that is 1.5m x 1m x 0.22m and filled with water. my main problem is the flow field do not feel the pressuence of wall boundary at the bottom of the domain in other word the velocity decay and streamwise variation of velocity in vertical axis has good agreement with the experimental results but spreading of the velocity is something like free jet u (velocity in nozzle direction) doesnt spread enough (even lower than free jet ) v and w (velocity in transverse and veritcal direction ) are similar to free jet first cell of mesh is in y+=35 and i tested mesh refined domain and unfortunately didnt affect the results. boundary condition of domain is: velocity at the inlet is uniform and no slip condition used for walls and zerogradient at the outlet pressure was zeroGradinet everywhere except the water surface that was totalPressure p0=0 other parameters line k.epsilon.nut are zerogradient at the outlet and standard wall function at walls. help me please IM STUCKED SO BAD... |
