I'm trying to do a simulation of a propeller, so I need to set the rotation of the domain around the propeller (according to the MFR approach). Following a tutorial on Youtube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=79-x2YQVE6Q&t=1690s, 24:29), i have to use setSet command, but i get this message:
Command 'setSet' not found, but can be installed with:
sudo apt install openfoam

I tried to do this, then to uninstall and reinstall openfoam, but it still can't find this command. How can I solve this?

Hello,

You are most likely using OpenFOAM-10 or 11. setSet has been deprecated and replaced by topoSet:

Quote:
Manipulation: The topoSet utility fully replaces the setSet utility which is deprecated [ commit 8d887e ] and includes a simplified input file syntax [ commit 6a657c ]

You can do the same thing with topoSet, but of course you will have to learn how to use topoSet first.

If you want to stick to this specific tutorial, the hassle-free way would be to use the exact same OpenFOAM version.

Generally speaking, there are changes on each version, so it's very likely to bump into things working differently when you try to reproduce a tutorial made with a different version than the one you are using.
