Hi everyone! I’m new in OpenFoam and I want to perform a CFD simulation which consists of face mask sim, where particles are included.
I don’t really know how to model the face mask. I thought about a porous media, but I don’t know how particles will interact with it, as only a few percent of that can go through the surface. Does anyone have experience with that type of simulation and could give some advice? Thank you in advance!! |

I'm currently attempting to model flow around a potentially novel face-shield that has fabric sides, so looking to incorporate porosity modelling. I'm thinking to not model the particle motion thru the fabric explicitly, instead calculate a particle-density map of contact with the porous boundary, which perhaps could be used as a proxy to measure virus mitigation effectiveness. But, any advice from experts in this area is most welcomed! |
