Hi everyone!
I am trying to solve a 3D turbulent flow in a channel similar to this tutorial: https://www.openfoam.com/documentati...nnel-flow.html With the only difference that I am adding a small block downstream where I add an inlet that adds flow from the bottom upwards (to mix with the main stream)-see attached figure (mesh.png). I use exactly the same controlDict, fvScheme and fvSolution files as in the abovementioned case (I attach the blockMeshDict file, which based in that case analogous file). It seems a really simple problem very similar to one already solved in the OpenFOAM documentation, however, when I run the case using pimpleFoam: the following error appears: ************************************************** PIMPLE: iteration 1 Turbulent DFSEM patch: inlet seeded 601 eddies with total volume 1.57943 smoothSolver: Solving for Ux, Initial residual = 1, Final residual = 0.0641366, No Iterations 1 smoothSolver: Solving for Uy, Initial residual = 1, Final residual = 0.0789141, No Iterations 1 smoothSolver: Solving for Uz, Initial residual = 1, Final residual = 0.0165905, No Iterations 1 GAMG: Solving for p, Initial residual = 1, Final residual = 8.55324e-07, No Iterations 99 time step continuity errors : sum local = 3.02402e-09, global = -8.48373e-10, cumulative = -8.48373e-10 PIMPLE: iteration 2 #0 Foam::error:rintStack(Foam::Ostream&) at ??:? #1 Foam::sigFpe::sigHandler(int) at ??:? #2 ? in /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libpthread.so.0 #3 Foam::smoothSolver::solve(Foam::Field<double>&, Foam::Field<double> const&, unsigned char) const at ??:? #4 Foam::fvMatrix<Foam::Vector<double> >::solveSegregated(Foam::dictionary const&) at ??:? #5 Foam::fvMatrix<Foam::Vector<double> >::solveSegregatedOrCoupled(Foam::dictionary const&) at ??:? #6 Foam::fvMesh::solve(Foam::fvMatrix<Foam::Vector<do uble> >&, Foam::dictionary const&) const at ??:? #7 ? in ~/OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM-v1912/platforms/linux64GccDPInt32Opt/bin/pimpleFoam #8 __libc_start_main in /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libc.so.6 #9 ? in ~/OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM-v1912/platforms/linux64GccDPInt32Opt/bin/pimpleFoam Floating point exception (core dumped) ************************************************** Do anyone know what is happening and how could it be solved? Sorry for my ignorance as it seems to be a very basic question! Kind regards, |
