Has anybody gotten the DensityBasedTurbo solver by Oliver Borm working in any foam-extend or OpenFoam version. I have spent a whole week now trying to install it and the best I got was Axial_Rotor_MRF tutorial working. For whatever reason there is no support for it and not sure if there are better open source tools available or other reason but seems like its a long dead project on life support from very few people.

I have tried already installing in foam extend 3.0, 3.1, 3.2. I know the original foam extend used was 1.6 but I can't even get that building anymore because multiple endpoints it relied on are down now. Currently I have gotten it somewhat working in foam extend 3.0 for the Axial_Rotor_MRF tutorial but any other tutorial it seems to error on the blockMesh command with message:

Code:
--> FOAM FATAL ERROR:
Cannot find patch none in region region0
Valid patches are
11
(
inletRotor
cyclic1
cyclic2
heat_transfer
shroud
outletRotor_ggi
inletStator_ggi
cyclicStator1
cyclicStator2
outlet
wall
)

    From function directMappedPatchBase::samplePolyPatch()
    in file directMapped/directMappedPolyPatch/directMappedPatchBase.C at line 750.

FOAM aborting
This exact problem was addressed here but failed to get a fix other than updating to foam extend 3.1 which also fails with other errors: Adding solvers from DensityBasedTurbo to foam-extend 3.0

If anyone can give any suggestions are pointers that would be SOOO helpful
