Hello,
I am trying to replicate a leak simulation case from a journal. I have some problems with preparing the geometry. I designed geometry in Salome, did triangular mesh, exported whole geometry in to unv file and also i exported 2 patches namely inlet and wall in to 2 stl file. I am trying to do snappyhex now, when i use ideasunvtofoam I can see my patches in the boundary file in polymesh folder. Then I did blockMesh, blockMesh clears my patches and adds everything to a default patch. so, I decided to do blockmesh first then ideasunvtofoam, now i am unable to perform snappyhex, snappy says the point location in castellation step is not inside the mesh. But the same point works when I did ideasunvtofoam->blockmesh->snappyhex (but i lose my patch names). And also I am missing some edges even though I used surfacefeatureextract. Now, the motive is, I want to perform snappyhex and I need to have my patch names to assign Boundary conditions later. Please check the image, I know I am doing something wrong but don't know what it is. maybe the entire approach is wrong, suggest something. any kind of help would be appreciated.
