Hi guys,

I've some trouble having a good mesh using SnappyHexMesh (i'm new to it). What i've tried is to create some refinement boxes ( 3 ) but the main problem is that the connexion between the boxes look weird. I've used ncells between levels to try correcting that but unsuccesfully.

Could you help me provide parameters or the origin of this issue ?

I've linked a picture of what it looks like.

Hi Julien,

I think your problem is not related to your mesh but only on the visualization.

I'm linking my answer from another post, let me know if it solves your issue:
Odd cell distortion when meshing a sphere in BlockMesh or SnappyHexMesh

Cheers,
Yann

Thank you for the element you brought here. I've tried what you've explained in the link, the surface with edges seem far better however for vectors i still see some weird results as I can show you in the linked picture. I still dont understand ...

Hi Julien,

In ParaView, try plotting velocity at cells values instead of point values to see if there is really something wrong about the values at mesh transitions or if this is a graphical artifact.

Except for this, it's hard to help you without having more information about your case.
