Hello Foamers,
I am running the unsteady RANS over the aerofoil, to average and understand the results I first need to know when are the statistics stationery (statistically stationery state). Is there any way to check the statistically stationery state during/after the simulations ? Hope I am making my question clear. Thanks for any help in this regard! |

Hey,
I don't know if I understand you right and if my statement is correct. But I would say that you can check the residuals whether a state of equilibrium has been reached or not. You can also choose a monitor point. This should not fluctuate over time. I hope I could help you.

Thanks Philipp Cone for the insight. I am guessing will it be correct to look the parameters/variables (u, p etc.) at a point and check if are they changing w.r.t. time? Your inputs are really helpful. Thanks again!
