Hi all,
Hope you can help me to solve this problem. I am trying to do the simulation similar to the tutorial /opt/openfoam6/tutorials/multiphase/cavitatingFoam/LES/throttle3D. But I am using interPhaseChangeFoam solver. The attached figure shows the geometry and the boundary conditions. When I use RANS turbulence models, it doesn't have any problem at the outlet boundary. But when I use LES turbulence models, it will has negative Ux velocity at the outlet boundary. So I try to use non-reflecting BC at the outlet BC. Does anyone has the experience about the Non-reflecting BC (waveTransmissive)? I try to put the following part to the file U. But it gives me errors. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ outlet { type waveTransmissive; value uniform (0 0 0); gamma 1.4; } ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ RAS.png LES.png Geo.png |

Well it is hard to diagnose a problem without seeing the error... that said, there are a few tutorials that use waveTransmissive for a pressure boundary condition (e.g. rhoPimpleFoam pitzDaily -- I think, I'd suggest performing the search yourself to confirm).
