Hello Guys,
This is my first post in CFD-online. I am trying to simulate wiper-motion on a windshield by using the Overset meshing technique. I have created the windshield as a background mesh and wiper as overset patch. For moving the wiper, I tried all the possible motion solvers in my knowledge, the closest I got is by using tabulated6DoFmotion. But, that is also not the exact solution what I need. The problems is as the windshield is a curvature surface, the wiper losses contact as soon as it rotates over the windshield. As there is no single axis of rotation. Moreover, the wiper mesh doesn't interpret windshield surface as solid wall, it penetrates inside the windshield, if motion allows so. My question: Is there any surface constraint definition in dynamicMeshDict that could arrest the wiper motion only on the windshield surface, so that the contact region is always maintained? Or, if anyone could suggest, what could be the possible alternatives, I should look for? A reference video for an idea can be found here! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gPXBa4qLcu8 Your suggestions are highly appreciated. Regards, Kartik |
