Hi guys ,
I am new to openFoam and i want to make a 2D airfoil simulation with the k kl omega turbulence modele . How can i set the boundary conditions for my simulation and what are the files that i need for it (kl kt omega p u ...)? |

No Answers !! Come on guys i really need your help .. ive been looking around i ve found a tutorial in openfoam that uses k-Kl omega turbulence model named ellipssekklomega May i use the same boundary like the tutorial? and how about the symmetry boundary for top and bottom will i still be able to use it with my 2D airfoil Simulation ?!
Thank you |

You're giving way too little information to really be helped. How does your domain look? what boundaries do you have? etc... It's more helpful to ask specific questions rather than such a vague general question with no prior insight of your own

Thank you for the Replay Yambanshee , Now i ve fixed the problem of divergence of my simulation but i still have a question for the Y+ value for the Kkl Omega turbulence model . How much should be the value for the Y+ since am using the nutLowReWallFunction ? |

Typically a y+ in the region of < 1 is prefered |

Hello Again Thank you for your help ,
and i still have some issues with my simulation Hope you can help me with it, I run my 2D airfoil simulation and it's converging and giving me results for Cm Cl Cd but the results i got are bit too High for the Cd and Cl compared to the experimental Data. th got a Cl=0.3518 while in experience is Cl=0.2954 and for drag i got Cd=0.0142 while in experience it is Cd =0.00883 In order to resolve the problem I ve tried to refine the mesh (mesh independance) and yet there still the Same Problem. Is it possible that there is a Problem with my boundary conditions or my Initial Values? I ll send you my boundary conditions files via email if it's okk with you! |

I am also facing the Omega divergence issue. Could you let me know how you fixed the divergence? Also, how are you setting the initial conditions? Thanks |
