Dear all,
I am trying single-phase free surface flow simulation by using dynamic mesh scheme. I succeed to track interface and simulate free surface dynamics to some extent. Now, I am wondering if I could set up boundary conditions for free surface. (1) kinematics condition ((v-vf).n=0) I learned symmetry conditions for velocity are similar to this condition. But, in openFOAM, when B.C. for U is set to symmetryPlane, pressure also necessarily is to be set as symmetryPlane (because mesh type is prescribed to be the same. slip condition is probably not suited since wall-normal velocity is zero) If you know, Could you tell me alternative B.C. or how to implement it. (2) dynamic condition Because surface tension of my case is constant, normal force balance is just considered. Therefore, I am considering that set-up of B.C. of pressure is just needed. If you know or have tried implementation of such a case, I would appreciate it if you could tell me. Thank you in advance. Best regards. |
