Adriana Correia is on a distinguished road
Dear all,

There is any way to obtain cross section mean values in OpenFOAM as a function of the axis?
In my simulation, I have a 2D channel (length in x-direction and radius in the y-direction) and I want to obtain the concentration mean value for the channel cross section as a function of x.

Sample Dict give me the concentration in the position where the line is defined instead of the mean value.
For the Average Field, I have to define the patch where I want to obtain the values and run the simulation to obtain the mean concentration (as a function of time) in a specific patch. I can use this option once I can fix at which time I want the data but for that, it has to be possible to define instead of the patch an x position and run it after the simulation had run. Is there possible?
I want the values, for exemple, from 0.1x in 0.1x over channel lenght.

Can you help me?

Many thanks,
Adriana
