Hello guys, and thanks already for the upcoming help. I'm trying to do a Simulation of a spray flame with the Sprayfoam solver. To get a better start at the sprayFoam solver I started the same case in compressible mapped it to incompressible, simulated it again and mapped it to the sprayFoam solver. Till there everything worked fine, and i had not any convergence Problems. The geometry is a Wedge of a Sprayjet.
As soon as I started to simulate it in sprayFoam I'm gettting huge convergence problems. The residuals look like this: I tried to lower the relaxation factors, but even if I'm setting them far smaller, the U_z component is still fluctuating completely. Normally it should be a convergent "pype-flow", since I'm not initiating any parcels into the flow right now. Maybe someone here knows how to solve the convergence problem? I attached the fvSolution fvSchemes and the Checkmesh.log in a zip file. Thanks in advance Jan Files.tar.gz |

I figured the misstake out by myself, i used an inlet velocity of constant 36 m/s, somehow this wasn't as accurate as doing it with a constant inlet-mass. This fixed the problem.
