Hey everyone,
I am looking to extract wind speed at certain heights according to the wall surface distance. I currently have a simulation of wind flow over complex terrain (mountains and hills basically), and I want to extract U data between 50m to 300m from the ground. The idea is to use these data later with python or MatLab. If possible I would like to keep the coordinates of extracted data. For U I would like to have both scalar and vector data. I was thinking to use a function in controlDict to do it, but I am blocked with the complex shape of the surface. I also had a look at cellDist or patchWave functions. If you have any idea on how to proceed, I am all yours. |

Use the sample utility with nearWalls_interpolated.
