Hello Everyone,
if you answer my question youŽll help me a lot. First, some background information for focussing on the answer I need. IŽm a computational scientist and analyzing some of the domain decomposition methods in OpenFOAM. So IŽm not very familiar with OpenFOAM itself. In the manual of OpenFOAM v5 there are the domain decomposition methods simple, hierarchical, scotch and manual. In some related scientific works for parallel computing with OpenFOAM there is a domain decomposition method called "Metis", sometimes "ParMetis" appears. So I ask myself - and now you - -if metis is or was a part of OpenFOAM and why it is not mentioned in the manual of OpenFOAM v5? - whats the difference between Metis and ParMetis? Best regards chris |
