runTimeModifiable true; not working

When runTimeModifiable is set to 'true' or 'on' or 'yes' in controlDict, it somehow doesn't have any effect when i try to change any parameters of my simulation during runtime. Has anybody faced this issue before?
I am using OF-2.4.0 |

Material parameters are likely to be read only at the simulation start when the thermo model is being constructed. I think fvSolution and controlDict should be reread during time incrementation.
reRead Dict after changed |
