Hi all,
I am wondering if anyone has had any success modelling the conversion of SO2 -> SO3 in the presence of a V2O5 catalyst? I have looked into using the prepackaged reaction kinetics solvers using chemFoam (and reactingFoam for added fluid flow). I'm using the chemkin input reader currently. The issue I am running into is that the kinetics of the SO2 conversion reaction are not first order. I do not understand how to adapt it for non-first order reaction kinetics. A review of the kinetics can be found in: Harris & Norman, Temperature-Dependant Kinetic Equation for Catalytic Oxidation of Sulfur Dioxide So my question is, how can I implement non-first order reaction kinetics into OpenFOAMs chemFoam? |
