Hello all
Being a new OpenFOAM user (started about two weeks ago), I'm still a bit fresh regarding some complex topics. My main objective for learning OpenFOAM is to simulate multiple floating bodies (connected to each other with joint-like element) moving due to waves. After exploring (and understanding) interDyMFoam + 6DoFMotion for a single body, I tryed to upgrade to two floating bodies. However, after some failed attempts and some research, I found out that some versions are not compatible with the type of simulations i was requested to do. Since my objective is very well defined, the deadlines established and due to my lack of expertise, I thought it would be easier to adapt to an OF version that would solve my problem with minimal effort and time-consumption. Wave generation is not a problem, since the method shown in the damBreak tutorial is more than enough. What OF version would allow me to perform this type of MULTI-PHASE, MULTI-BODY, 6DoF, DYNAMIC MESH simulations with minimal effort? Thanks in advance! Carlos Edit: My attempts were performed using OF v1706. |
