How to generate the streamline from inlet to outlet of a pump

Hello everyone,
My name is Alisa, a new learner of openfoam. Recently, I am studying simulating a pump.Here are some post-processing pictures of the simulation. It seems that the pressure contour is reasonable but I am not sure whether the result is right because I don't know how to get the streamline of the internal fluid, as a result of which I can't judge the motion(direction and distribution) of the fluid. I hope that I have express clearly what I what to say. Any advice or problems, please contact me.I will appreciate any relative ideas! Thank you all! |

Using Paraview.
Add filter stream tracer. Filters > alphabetical > stream tracer. Select U (velocity field) as the vector. click apply. Move the white ball around and adjust the number of streamlines until it looks nice. |

Thank you~I have tried this method but the streamline seems not so good Is there any skill or key point when moving the ball?Thank you very much!

Hi, It would be helpful to post the image of what you got.
Anyway, there are a couple of controls that you can use to make streamlines better looking, 1. You have the option to choose between point and line source. 2. You can change the radius of your point, and no. of points. 3. You can increase or decrease length of your streamlines. 4. you can use costume streamlines filter if you want to seed streamlines from a patch or any other surface. 5. You can add tube filter to your streamlines to get nice 3D streamlines. Hope this can help! Thank you Mehar
