Dear all,
I am trying to simulate VAWT with pimpleDyMFoam on fe32 with k-epsilon turbulence model. But k is not being convected and keeps trailing the airfoils instead (image attached). Has anyone faced this problem before? Please help Thanks, LR |

I have had the same problem before and did not have any luck in solving it unfortunately...
For what it's worth, I did notice that, for some reason, the Spalart-Allmaras turbulence model for fe32 does convect turbulent eddy viscosity downstream properly. Various other two-equations models (including k-w-SST) did not work for me though. Hopefully you can find your answers here! |

Hi,
I had the same issue and I solved it by using Code:
minIter 1; The reason being that the initial residuals on the turbulence equations was already lower than my tolerance and the solver would consequently not solve it! I got my solution from this post: Problem with SST-Model - strange behaviour |
