Hi all;
I have a 128^3 DNS velocity field that I need to filter and map into a 64^3 mesh to run a LES simulation. The mapFields utility only interpolates, and it does not really filter the velocity field. Is that correct? Is there already a utility in OF that can filter a field? or I will need to code it myself? Thanks |

Hi Tobi,
Thanks for replying. I want to "filter" my velocity field, using a sharp cutoff filter in the Fourier space. I need to filter to make sure that my velocity correlations remain consistent. I believe a simple interpolation might not necessarily preserve the correct turbulence statistics. Thanks, Mary |
