Hi,
I have tried the tutorial hotRoom (buoyantPimpleFoam). If I refine the mesh, the simulation does not work anymore. Any help welcomed. Thanks, Marco. |

Hi Marco,
I am also facing a lot of problems running this solver, that make me think it is definitely affected by lots of bugs. Like you, I also experienced a convergence issue by refining the mesh and also, sometimes by decreasing the time step which are both an absurd in my opinion; therefore I tend to say that the standard buoyantPimpleFoam doesn't work at all. As you can read on my previous post, you can find HERE, I'm trying to make some step futher, in order to force this solver to converge: up to now, without any luck. Any advice by people who have experience with this solver is welcome. Thank you. Matteo Last edited by Matt_B; August 25, 2016 at 14:01. |
