Hello everyone, I installed the last version of OpenFOAM on linux (Xubuntu 14.04) because I want to perform a simulation of the magnetic fields generated by a permanent magnet in a volume of air.
I am new in the simulation but I read that OpenFOAM had magneticFoam solver to simulate the permanent magnet. My study case is to know the magnetic fields generated by a permanent dipole magnet whose dimensions are: - Length: 10mm - Width: 5 mm - Height: 5 mm - Material: Neodymium Iron Boron The volume in which the generated magnetic field has to be calculated: - Length: 50mm - Width: 50mm - Height: 50mm I have looked for detailled tutorial but I have not found a simple study case to understand the simulation procedure and parameters. I hope that someone will be able to help me to solve. Thanks you for advance. |

Thank you for your reply.
I have downloaded the magSandbox example to understand how the study case is built but unfortunately, I have an error when I run "./Allrun". The error is recorded in the file "log.magneticFoam" (See attached file)and I don't know how to solve this problem to see the result of this study case. Does someone know how correct this error? |
