hello!
Please look at the picture that I insert: I use interDyMFoam for dam-reservoir analysis under earthquake. That is dam give the fluid displacement , and fluid give the dam dynamic pressure by contact surface .The FSI solution strategy I adopted is the so-called partitioned approach, in which the fluid and structure domains are treated as two separate domains. And I choose the "loose coupling" strategy ! twophase fluid (reservoir)---myinterDyMFoam structure (concrete gravity dam)---FEM When modulus of elasticity of concrete gravity dam is 2.55e10 Pa, all is ok. But when modulus of elasticity of concrete gravity dam is 2.55e8 Pa, It is divergent even though there is no eathquake(that means bedrock is static) . That means the displacement and the dynamic pressure of the contact surface become bigger and bigger ! Then I wonder if it is impossible for "twophase fluid of FVM" and "FEM" to simulate fluid-structure interaction problem ? I really don't find any papers about this ! And there is only fluid-structure interaction with onephase fluid in the foam-extend-3.0 ! what is wrong ? could you help me? Many thanks ! xuhe |
