Tutorials on Simulating a Pitching Airfoil in OpenFOAM

Hi All,

Can any one help with any OpenFOAM tutorial related to stimulating a pitching Airfoil in OpenFOAM?

I need this as the basis of my project. I have already treated the tutorials in the user manual, but need more hints to start work in this direction.

Your assistance would be appreciated.

The wingMotion tutorials would be a good starting point. The case that uses the pimpleDyMFoam solver involves a moving mesh for an extruded airfoil.

I tried to simulate an airfoil plunging in still fluid but it is showing the following error.
--> FOAM FATAL IO ERROR:
Cannot find patchField entry for symFront

file: /home/dell/OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM-3.0.0/tutorials/airfoiloscillation/0/pointDisplacement.boundaryField from line 26 to line 52.

From function GeometricField<Type, PatchField, GeoMesh>::GeometricBoundaryField::readField(const DimensionedField<Type, GeoMesh>&, const dictionary&)
in file /home/dell/OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM-3.0.0/src/OpenFOAM/lnInclude/GeometricBoundaryField.C at line 209.
