Hi
I have completed LES of my geometry using pisoFoam for incompressible part. Now I am using rhoPimpleFoam. I have modified all parameters required for my geometry and copied ones which shall be same from pisoFoam 0. I am having error attached in the two images but I do not have any file which would say wall. Can anyone explain the source of error. Regards |

Hey there!
The wall functions are different for compressible solvers. You might want to check that first. |

When, you will look at the error you will come to know an unknown patchfield for the wall. In your case you are trying to use an unknown boundary patch (eg., kqRWallFunction) for the LES (oneEqEddy) turbulence model. Try using the mentioned valid patchfields for the given turbulence model. I am little confused! How you ran your PISO solver using the LES (oneEqEddy) model, with the same boundary patch (kqRWallFunction)? |

Hello Tushar
In the mentioned patchlists, kqRWallFunction is available to be used. In piso, it ran successfully number of times, if files were not heavy, I would have uploaded them on rapid share for you to see, Also, if you like I can upload the file without complete time step solution for piso. I have uploaded the current compressible files folder at the following link. http://rapidshare.com/files/2869658194/elbow.tar.gz If you can spare a few minutes I shall be extremely grateful. It is only 4MB in compressed folder. Since you are a senior member whereas I have only started. I am a postgrad student doing MS by research trying to learn CFD. Thanks for your help. |

Hello,
I am not able to download your files... Can you copy paste the folder files here... (1) 0 folder - k file (2) constant folder - all files (3) system folder - controlDict, fvSolution, fvScheme files |
