Hello everyone,
I have to calculate thermal stresses and change in length of the geometry owing to thermal expansion. I am using solidDisplacementFoam solver for steady state analysis. The geometry I am using is 3D square. Boundary conditions includes: fixed bottom surfaces and other surfaces are traction free, therefore top end can expand freely. I need to calculate changed in length of the geometry. I am wondering if anyone could suggest how I can calculate change in lenght of the 3D square geometry after thermal expansion. Thanks in advance. Sangeeta |
