Hi,
i am trying to run the cavity case with the simpleFoam solver by changing the blockMeshDict (to generate geo. of cavity ) i have seen some of the SimpleFoam tutorial example given like airfoil. But i am stucked at a place that is it necessary to use a turbulent model to run SimpleFoam??. Since in a cavity the fluid is at rest.I have tryed by removing all the conditions of the turbulence in the written scripts of open foam but it still didn't worked. so if anybody who has tryed this can please share your experience since i am new to OpenFoam. I am attaching my case file in cavity1.zip |

if you want to use simpleFoam or other solvers which are suitable for both turbulent and laminar, you need to modify constant/turbulenceDict and but your turbulence type as laminar
