Dear Foamers,
I am running the rhoPorousMRFSimpleFoam solver using OpenFOAM-2.1.1. My case is a impeller. I am giving the following boundary conditions: inlet U: pressureInletVelocity p:totalPressure Outlet U: flowRateInletVelocity with negative value. So that it will acts as a outflow p: fixedValue with a value of 101325. And My case is nonConformal Mesh. say like impeller is hexahedral and casing is tetrahedral. So I had given cyclicAMI boundary condition. In this case I am not getting correct velocity at the inlet. So mass is imbalanced. I have checked at the interfaces. One side of patch that is on the casing side I am getting correct velocity and getting flow rate also. But other side velocity is not coming uniformly. I am using cyclicAMI with trasform noOrdering. I have tried with snappyHexMesh by converting interfaces in to interior. In this case, Mass is getting balancing but after some iterations like after 126 Iter I am facing the issue like Time = 126 smoothSolver: Solving for Ux, Initial residual = 0.0028758072, Final residual = 2.5767478e-05, No Iterations 4 smoothSolver: Solving for Uy, Initial residual = 0.002563926, Final residual = 2.3158849e-05, No Iterations 4 smoothSolver: Solving for Uz, Initial residual = 0.0026992734, Final residual = 2.5718448e-05, No Iterations 4 DILUPBiCG: Solving for h, Initial residual = 0.010145466, Final residual = 5.8752864e-07, No Iterations 1 [0] [0] [0] --> FOAM FATAL ERROR: [0] Maximum number of iterations exceeded [0] [0] From function specieThermo<Thermo>::T(scalar f, scalar T0, scalar (specieThermo<Thermo>::*F)(const scalar) const, scalar (specieThermo<Thermo>::*dFdT)(const scalar) const) const [0] in file home/OpenFOAM//OpenFOAM-2.1.1/src/thermophysicalModels/specie/lnInclude/specieThermoI.H at line 69.
