Hello,
I am using XiFoam to simulate premixed combustion. Could someone please tell me how to create a perfectly spherical ignition point. I thought that setting ignitionSphereFraction to 1 would do the work. But, OpenFoam is creating hemispherical ignition for any values of ignitionSphereFraction. How do we control the shape of the initial ignition region? Thanking you, Achinta |

Hello Foamers,
I am trying to get a complete spherical ignition region by playing with different values for ignitionSphereFraction, ignitionStrength, ignitionCi rcleFraction etc. But i am always getting a quarter of a sphere. The location of my ignition is (0.05,0,0) and the ignition diameter is 0.1 m. The ignition sphere created by openFoam extends from x=0 to x=0.1, y=0 to y=0.05 and z=0 to z=-0.05. Is it a bug ? Has anyone tried to create a spherical ignition region? Thank you Achinta |
