hi my simulation is flow over a 2D flat plate (LES) using of210,
i want to determine wall shear stress at selected point along flat plate. By using "wallShearStress" post utility i have extracted wall shear stress along plate at all nodes. but i need to find out wallshearstress only at selected points which are not matching with grid points exactly. Threre it again involves interpolation. is there any way by which by using present big wallShearStress file. i can extract wallshearstress only at selected points, therefore to save time instead of interpolating and searching those points in big wallShearStress file.

I have tried with probeLocations post utility it is giving me (0,0,0) value on wall, in first cell. plz help me on this

thank u in advance..

regards
nitin

Dear nitin
if you extract it as surface you can import it into tecplot or paraview and extract your value with a prob.

Hi Nitin,

I suggest trying the sample utility in OF. You can fix the co-ordinates there.

Regards,
Dhruv.
