Hello to all here at the forum. I have being using a solver that I implemented and is quite similar to fireFoam. I call it lowMachFOAM. Anyway, I have being able to successfully simulate turbulent free convection boundary layer over a heated vertical flat plate, and I have being trying to feed an inflow velocity at the southern boundary to compute a turbulent mixed convection boundary layer flow. My problem has being with the boundary condition for U and the dynamic pressure. I have to fix the inlet condition for U, but not sure how to handle the dynamic pressure. When I was simulating the free convection part of the research, the BCs were pressureInletOutletVelocity for U and totalPresure for dynamic pressure (pd). Can anyone give me some feedback on how to handle pd at the southern boundary that will ensure stability?? Thanks.

What do you mean by simulate a flat plate? What kind of flow are you solving?
