Hey,
I guess this problem is fairly easy, but after 3 days of trying i decided that it is time to ask for help. I want to exchange the geometry in the incompressible/pisofoam/les/motorbike - Tutorial. Sounds fairly easy right? Without changes, the tutorial is working, except that i can only view the uncomposed results in the end or experience a paraView crash. So i decided to delete the line from Allrun-script that copies the geometry from the tutorial. I put my own geometry that is called "motorBike.stl" in the triSurface folder and exchange the geometry name in the snappyHexMesh.dict (that before was motorBike.obj). I also changed the vertices of the blockMesh and the searchable box of snappy hex mesh. The settings for vertices, searchable box and the geometry are from a steady state case i set up on the usual motorBike tutorial and are working perfectly fine there. Although i think there is a minor error in the geometry, as paraView crashes trying to open it. I tried to convert my stl to obj using meshlab, but can't figure out how it is done. Thanks in advance and best regards, Simon openFoam 2.1.0 on Ubuntu 12.04, ptscotch in latest version |
