Hi foamers

I am very new to this openfoam especially on the Lagrangian particle flow front.

As i want to simulate the dust particles which is removed buy a dust sucker device,

please i want to know how to fill the required number of particles in the given mesh ex like for a given area and what are steps to follow for this implementation.

is so please let me know how to map the particles for any given geometry

thanking you in advance

Hi theja,
Please have a look in the particle injection models. You have the possibility of manual injection as well as to choose one of the injection models.

hi niqbal

actuall i dont want to inject the particle i want to test the hopper case like

there is certain number of particles inside the chamber at certain height and i want to see how the particle move down due to gravity

thankyou very for your reply

Hi theja,
Then it is very simple, manual inject the particles via manual injection, there you need to give the particle positions. you may have a look of the hooper emptying case.
