Hi all,

I am a bit confused. Is it ok to use 30<y+<300 for modeling with the Realizable k-e model? Or should I locate the first layer is viscous region (y+<5)?

Thanks all,
A.

30<y+<300
this is the range for high-RE turbulence models,

if you want to resolve y+<30 you should use a low-RE turbulence model.

Realizable k-eps. is a high-RE model.

choose your wall function accordingly.
