rjomega is on a distinguished road
I have been doing a steady state fan simulation using simpleFoam and MRF. I have tried using these setups:

Volume Flow Rate Given and Outlet static Pressure of 0 (for comparison with data below)

and

Total Pressure inlet and Static Pressure outlet of 0 (for max flow rate)

I am getting negative pressure difference in the inlet on both simulations which I think is the pressure increased caused by the fan, but I do not have that much understanding of what is happening whether it is the dynamic pressure from the fan or change in static pressure.

Can anyone please tell me more about the data being shown in the postprocessing?

Results:

for Volume flow rate inlet of 78.19CFM and outlet static pressure of 0 I am getting -4.19Pa/rho
Question for this first result: I know that as I increase my flow rate I am getting lower static pressure until 0Pa for max flow rate, but what is the pressure in the inlet? is it a combination of static and dynamic pressure? or is it the actual static pressure produced by the fan?

for Total Pressure inlet 0 and Static Pressure outlet 0 I am getting -0.064Pa/rho

Question for this second result: For this result, I let my fan produce the flow itself. I got 0.009 m3/s higher flow rate. But what is the pressure that I got here? Static pressure outlet is fixed and is not changing I have already checked it. The only changing is the inlet. What does total pressure inlet 0 mean? is it like an initial value which changes depending on the results? Just like what i asked on my first result, is this static or dynamic pressure? or a combination of both?

Thank you guys in advance
