Hello,
My name is Sathya, I had a question regarding the results of a simulation I ran. This corresponds to the well known case of transonic flow over a bump in a channel (the ONERA bump). I considered inviscid 2-D flow, and applied : 1. Slip boundary conditions at the top and bottom of the channel 2. 2-D (empty) at the front and back. 3. Total pressure and total temperature of 96000 Pa and 300 K at the inlet Also, applied the pressureDirectedInletVelocity, to compute the inlet velocity perpendicular to the inlet normal, given a prescribed static pressure at the outlet. 4. Prescribed a static pressure of 57000 Pa. I ran the case on the density based rhoCentralFoam solver. The results were un-physical in the sense that a sudden rise in pressure to the prescribed outlet pressure was observed. I will put up a plot of the 2D pressure plot with the post. Any suggestions/comments on the possible error in modelling or unsuitability of the solver would be appreciated |
