Dear All,

I am currently struggling with implementing the file 'pointdisplacement' which is the submitfile for simulation of a 2D rigid wing. The file can be found at the tutorials, under incompressible/pimpleDymFoam/wingMotion...

I want to change the 2D aerofoil to a 3D circular cylinder being able to perform vortex induced vibration in a channel. I am a beginner with openFoam and therefore do not understand the meaning with different fields in the poindisplacement file.
These are:

- orientation (xxx; xxx; xxx)?

- constraints: - fixedLine1: refPoint (x,x,x), direction (x,x,x)?
- fixedAxis1: axis (x,x,x)

- restraints: - verticalSpring: anchor (x,x,x), refAttachmentPt (x,x,x), restLength?
- axialSpring?

I have no clue about what orientation has meaning.
Further, what is the physical difference between fixedLine1 and fixedAxis1 at the constraints field? Regarding restraints field, again, what is the physical difference between verticalSpring and axialSpring?

Major thanks to all kind of contributions!
